Maruti Suzuki Brezza : Maruti Suzuki has introduced a completely overhauled version of the Brezza compact SUV, elevating its design and premium features while still offering the practicality that made it a market favorite.

The updated Brezza showcases a more bold exterior design, luxurious interior amenities, and technology that rivals that of more expensive vehicles—an indication of Maruti’s aim to reposition this popular model as a more aspirational choice.

One of the most striking updates is the Brezza’s revamped exterior.

The front end features a broader, more pronounced grille, embellished with intricate chrome details that seamlessly integrate into the new LED projector headlights.

These headlights now come with crystal-like LED daytime running lights that create a unique light signature, making the new model instantly recognizable compared to its predecessor.

“We aimed to create a model with a genuine road presence,” explains Takuya Hashimoto, the Chief Designer at Maruti Suzuki.

“Today’s Brezza buyers have evolved, and their expectations have changed. They desire a vehicle that makes a statement, rather than just serving as a mode of transport.”

The side profile of the vehicle showcases pronounced wheel arches that now accommodate newly designed 16-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels, while dynamic character lines play with light and shadow, adding a vibrant visual appeal.

A floating roof design available in contrasting colors accentuates the premium look, providing personalization previously unavailable in this segment.

At the back, the connected LED taillamps stretch across the tailgate, broadening the visual impression, while unique light elements ensure that the Brezza is easily identifiable even at night.

A new bumper with a silver skid plate introduces an element of ruggedness without sacrificing its overall elegant appearance.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza Cabin Experience That Exceeds Expectations

The interior transformation is even more striking, featuring materials and amenities that challenge common perceptions of the Maruti Suzuki brand.

The dashboard sports a layered design using soft-touch finishes, contrast stitching, and chic details in piano black and brushed aluminum.

The centerpiece is a 9-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system that offers both wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto integration.

This system powers an Arkamys-tuned audio setup featuring six strategically positioned speakers for optimal sound experience.

“The difference in the cabin vibe compared to the previous model is striking,” states automotive journalist Vikram Mehta.

“The quality of materials, the fit and finish, and meticulous attention to detail represent a genuine advancement, not just for the Brezza but for the entire segment.”

Luxury touches also include multiple customizable ambient lighting options, leatherette upholstery with contrast stitching, ventilated front seats, and a wireless charging pad with a cooling feature—amenities that were previously unexpected in this vehicle class.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza Feature Set That Challenges Premium Competitors

Beyond its appealing looks, the Brezza now comes equipped with a feature set that would impress in even higher segments:

  • Electric sunroof with tilt and slide functionality
  • 360-degree camera system offering various viewing angles
  • Head-up display providing vital information within the driver’s line of sight
  • Automatic climate control with rear AC vents
  • Push-button start with smart keyless entry
  • Cruise control equipped with speed limiter function
  • Cooled glovebox and multiple storage solutions

The safety features have also seen significant upgrades, now including six airbags, an electronic stability program, hill hold assist, and ISOFIX child seat anchors as standard in most variants.

Higher trims offer additional features like blind spot monitoring and rear cross-traffic alert—advanced driver assistance features rarely available in this class.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza Refined Powertrain Options

Under the hood, the Brezza retains the proven 1.5-liter K-series engine, now featuring updates with dual variable valve timing and an integrated starter generator to boost efficiency.

This mild-hybrid system claims fuel economy figures of 19.8 km/l for manual variants and 19.4 km/l for automatics—quite impressive given the added features and equipment.

The engine delivers 103 horsepower and 138 Nm of torque, paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or a 6-speed automatic equipped with paddle shifters.

The new automatic option is an enhancement from the previous 4-speed variant, providing a smoother highway experience and better response during overtaking.

Maruti Suzuki Brezza Market Positioning

With pricing set between ₹7.99 lakh and ₹13.96 lakh (ex-showroom), the new Brezza positions itself as a premium player in the compact SUV market.

While this is a price increase compared to the previous model, Maruti Suzuki asserts that the significantly enhanced design and features justify this shift.

“The compact SUV segment has seen substantial growth,” remarks industry analyst Priya Sharma.

“Original Brezza owners are now looking for more sophistication without a need to transition to a larger vehicle. Maruti has fine-tuned this update to cater precisely to that changing demand.”

Initial market feedback seems to support this strategy, with bookings surpassing 45,000 units in just the first two weeks since the launch.

Maruti has ramped up production at its manufacturing facility to accommodate this demand, with current waiting times stretching to 4-6 weeks based on variant and color choice.
